What do you think this 3.6 conversion is worth?
This is an interesting car, but I thought the asking price was even more interesting. What do you all think a well-done 3.6/middle-year conversion is worth?

This car is owned by a guy that works at Speedware Motorsports. He actually built it for a well known computer guy (no not BG), who spared no expense. I believe that asking price is $57,500. See it here: http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/6/4/63887864.htm

Great looking car, but I can't see it getting 57K, unless some other computer guy comes in and wants it.
Anyone thoughts?

WAY TOO MUCH...it's a 1974 911 with a 3.6, nothing more, nothing less...a 1973 911RS it is not...

It is a very nice "looking" car, at least what can be seen from the pictures as presented online. Unless there are a couple of gold bars in the boot this guy needs to adjust his price by about 30K. 57K is a joke. I see this all of the time, people think their cars are some kind of treasure, it's a hoot. |

What?!?!

I think it looks good. To the right buyer it will work. Do the math.

Spending 57K: You can buy a sweet rolling chassis for 10K, put another 8k into the chassis/suspension and still have 39K for a tranny and powerplant!!! 40 grand will buy one incredible engine and transmission. |

Funny - but I think I would have mentioned the 3.6 first in the ad...
