High and Low Beams on together?
Just finished installing the Sucro relay kit in my 86. What I have noticed and this was probably happening before the install, is that both high and low beam operate together when high beam is selected.
Looking at the wiring diagrams for the stalk switch (which is only 6 months old) this would not be normal operation (for any car probably). So before I get stuck into the stalk switch and start bending contacts - any other thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hmm, on cars with 4 headligts the lowbeams often stay on when the high beams are selected.

I toasted the bulb inner ground when doing a 130/100w both hi&low on at the same time.. not a bright idea. it lasted about 1hr on high.

Just pulled the stalk apart and the contacts seem to be correctly positioned and operating efficiently. I gather the next step is the headlight switch but I am struggling to understand how that could be cause.
Low beam operates correctly but when high beam is activated (switched on or in flash mode) low beam does not go off. Any further ideas guys?
