Setting rear ride height: loaded or not?
Hey folks:
Thanks for giving me a hand yesterday on the 24mm thin wrench question. The one thing that is not covered by the information I have is how to set the rear ride height: loaded, on the ground or on jacks, with wheels off? I am about to lower the car after a full rear susp. rebuild and have set the springplates pretty much to middle point. Now, if I find that I have to lower the car further, can I do this with the car on the ground, or do I need to raise it on jacks and do my adjustments off the ground? Same for having to raise the car? Many thanks, John |
I did all my adjustments, be they front or rear, by jacking up the car. Then lowered it and bounced the suspension the best I could with all 170 lbs. of me.

John do a search of past posts... I can't remember where I found it but their is a excellent step by step guide for home alignment/ride height on a 911. The author of the booklet is Ray Scruggs.
Good Luck jon |
