IROC style bumper cap?
I have a M491 Carrera "Turbo-Look" that I am planning to back date to a 1974 IROC "look". Since weight is a secondary concern, I would like to find an IROC bumper that will "cap" my stock bumper. With or without the oil cooler opening is fine. I figure "capping" the stock front bumper and replacing the heavier rear stock bumper with a lightweight composite unit will help reduce the front/rear weight bias to better balance the car. Any suggestions?

I think that you may misunderstand what a bumper cap is. A cap is a single piece of f/g which replaces the entire front end of your car, it replaces the bumper/valance/spats/ and all associated hardware.
There are several suppliers of these parts, BW, MA Shaw, GT racing, Rennspeed et.al. Do your h/w quality can vary. If you don't care about the valance mounted oil cooler then you might look for an SC/RS cap as pictured here ![]() This one also uses the stock widebody chin spoiler
