930 Rotor / Caliper Question
Guys,
I am considering fitting a set of 930 (turbo) calipers to an early car. Do 930 rotors also need to be fitted? Are there alternatives to the ultra-expensive and crack prone monsters? Thanks in advance. Cheers, Chris |

"early car" ..what year?
There was a good thread this week about 951 brakes on a 911. In it you can also learn about 930 brakes. Search "944T on 911" and it should come up. |

If you simply do a search on brake guru "Bill Verburg"...you'll be miles ahead.

Well they aren't sooo ultra expensive (especially if you can fit non-floating ones, cost around 100 bucks a piece) or more crack-prone than any other cross-drilled rotors.

Chris,
If you need the calipers, I know where a set is for sale in the Seattle area. (at least they were for still for sale last I knew). Send me an e-mail if you're looking for calipers. As far as rotors... The factory rear rotors worked on my 87. Don't know about an early car. The factory rears are not expensive and I don't think they are as crack prone as drilled rotors. If you have flared front fenders, I think you can use the post 1980 one piece front rotors which are not as expensive. I have an old set of rotors off an 89 930 if you need to do any fit checks.
