SoCal 911 spotting......

Yesterday, Super Bowl Sunday I saw.....

N/B 405 right at LAX a light bronze colored 930. Pulled in behind you. Nice car... You a Pelicanite? (less than 2 miles from Pelican World Headquarters).

N/B 405 Sepulveda Pass. SWB Guards red 911, well dressed couple, is that you?

W/B Sherman Way, at Hayvenhurst. Orange-ish SWB 911, young guy driving. Is that you?

Singpilot is trying to make contact with 911's he's seen on the road and wonders if they may post here.

I think the same thing when I see a 911 on the local roads, If maybe it's somebody I've chated with on the boards.

I've seen a light brown/beigh SC on Laural Cyn in No. Ho. several times.

MarkY;

Sorry for the waste of your bandwidth.

Won't happen again.

Thanks for the support, Bob.

Michael.

BTW, I saw a white SC this morning in Times Square in Manhattan on my way to breakfast.

It was raining turning to sleet at that moment. A gorgeous woman was driving it. If she's on here, I'd REALLY like to meet her. Conneticut plates.

Thanks, Bob.

Sure it will...

Here's my list of 911's seen recently:

Mid-year black nice Carerra, business dude, some sort of all silver wheels, entering the 73N from the 55N this morning.

199Xish Silver RUF CTR with custom CTR license plate - seen a couple weeks ago outside a tire shop off Old Newport Blvd. in Costa Mesa.

Grey GT2 turbo - spoke with owner outside Unocal 76 at the entrance to the 55N in Costa Mesa - you on here?

Beautiful long hood with fuchs in Irish Green - driving down 17th Street in Costa Mesa towards Newport Beach last week.

I saw a metallic blue early 911 with a ducktail at Olive & 170 (in the snow!) yesterday. I saw it on 270 last summer, too.

Was that you?

While we're at it, one of my coworkers got cut off by a black 911 this morning taking the Trigger Ave. exit off of Highway 3 near Silverdale. Distinctive license plate stood out, and calmed his anger at being cut off -- "SCUZ ME" (Excuse Me). He thought it was me, which is why he mentioned it, but I don't have the neat-o retractable spoiler he described. So anyway, you around, driver of a black post-89 tailed 911 named "SCUZ ME?"

Dunkel's weekend is going to bring lots of p-cars out. It's a shame there isn't a huge Porsche show every week.

Singpilot - excellent thread...

Yeah, I see Pelican hopefuls all the time. If I stop near them, I yell out what I can about the forum, hoping they'll join.

Like what is said about Linux, it's not necessarily about knowledge; it's about community...

Don't know, it was dark. Moreover, don't know whether or not she was cute. That's an important question for a young single guy like me, and my coworker really let me down. I mean, a black 911 driven by a woman who works on the same military base I do? What are the odds ...

Oh, and while we're at it, just last week one of my friends spotted a red 911 pulled over at the Highway 3 Revenue Generation Site (speedtrap). All he could pick out was the whale-tail spoiler and the bright red. If that's you, I offer my most sincere condolences.

Dan
