Hey Motor Miester is selling a Solex Carb kit for $1500.00 that fits a 3.0ltr.. has anyone gone this route or know of anyone that has?

This is definitly not an elegant solution. While it COULD work it would be ugly. The solex carbs use an overflow system to keep the gas at a certien level. You have to replace your drivers side cam cover for the recerculation pump. ALso the solex carbs had a flat spot at around 3K. and I'm sure you know MM's reputation.. 'nuff said

Hmm, used Webers float in the $800-$1400 range - I can't imagine why you would want to pay more for the Solexes...

Most of the competitive, high-end shifter karts use the overflow-recirculation system very successfully in a much harsher environment than a 911 ever sees on the track. Electric pumps would work fine, no cam driven pumps necessary as original. If you want original 911 ’64-’66 Solex, that is a different story.
