Question Another Front Bumper Question??

My front bumper is almost off the car, except for the connections to the driving lights and turn signals. Is there a quick way to disconnect these lights? Completely removing them while the bumper is on the car seems like a pain, but perhaps this is what I need to do. Any advice?

Also, how in the world do I go about cleaning all the dirt and gunk off the back of the bumper (and associated pieces) before I prepare it for painting. That stuff looks pretty attached!

Thanks

Is there a quick way? No. Trace the wires to the trunk and disconnect them. I think you also have to take out the washer res.

I sandblasted my bumpers before paint.

The best way, in order to get everything really clean, is to take them out, take off the lenses and disconnect them inside the light housings. This way you can inpect all the connections for corrosion etc, and clean if nec. Pay attention to the wiring, the turn signal is a little goofy, and use a needle nose plier to get the quick connects off, and label them...

The back bumper requires a stiff brush, elbow grease, lots of simple green and patience. Get it super clean or you'll have a nightmare on your hands when painting.

You only need to disconnect the front lights, the side lights connect to the fronts.
