Final Alusil vs Nikasil questions
Couple of quick questions:
- If Alusils are matched with iron plated pistons, the pistons should be magnetic right? - On Nikasils , the cylinder plating is slightly magnetic, but pistons are all alloy and therefor not magnetic right? - Does anyone know the part #s cast into the Mahle Nikasil cylinders? I'm trying to sort out a what looks to be a mixed set of Mahle Nikasil / Alusil and KS Alusil set of Pistons. Yup all from one engine - apparently a crap-crazy rebuild. Regards, Andrew M
