Can your Porsche 911 be a Star, in miniature?
Hi, New here!
Johnny Lightning, the maker of those cool little 1:64 scale diecast miniature cars, is looking for some good pics of your 80-85 911 Turbo wide bodied Carerra, for consideration as a car to be replicated in our very popular, long-running Classic Gold Series. When a car is selected for Johnny Lightning's Classic Gold Series, we take the image of that car, make it into a color, collector's photo card, that car is replicated, as exactly as we can make it, and both car and matching photo card are included in the packaging. When we do this, we compensate the owners of cars whose pictures we use, by a quantity of their car, packaged as it would be in retail stores, complete with the photocard, along with the opportunity for them to purchase additional models of their car at a substantial discount from the retail price. It's called "Your Car Is The Star". To learn more about this program, and how it can increase the enjoyment of owning a fine example of the car we replicate, go to our website: www.playingmantis.com and open the Johnny Lightning page, and then open the page for Your Car is The Star. If this interests you, and I think that it will, simply follow the directions on how to submit pictures of your car to us for consideration. Thanks for the read! I've already submitted pics of my 75 911S. I figure, if the red 911 Carrera was produced, painting it silver and chroming the wheels to match my car would be easy for you guys!

Why only fat chicks? I heard they're hard to pass on the race track.

Unfortunately, our casting is the wide body though--would be pretty hard for us to pass off our casting as a replica of your car, wish I could, love the silver! Art Anderson |

Frankly, all our cars are made of stars. Actually, most heavy matter (except plutonium etc.) was "manufactured" in supernova explosions ... even my $450 beater.

I did all the artwork specs for that car, in the summer of 2002! That one was a fun project, one of my faves! Art ![]() |

I was just kidding...its in peices get it?...Anyhoo if you make a '73 casting let me know. I am building my 911 in the streetrod style. I think it would make a cool Johnny lightning car. Course I am a little biased...

I'm curious -- is there a reason why you don't just recast the silver turbo and paint it a different color? I think it's cool that you'd use real cars, just wondering what the motivation is.
If you ever want to do a carrera, I'm volunteering. Actually, pleading. Jared

What we will do is run the casting we used for the silver Turbo, but in a different color. My search is for images of this car in other colors for us to consider. Art ![]() |

They did a Carrera already but upon close inspection, it was a turbo body without the rear spoiler and shark fins.
