I had a similar clunk on my 79 930. I found it to be an improperly installed retaining (roll) pin on my Bilstein struts.

There isn't much to it wayne, You have your a arms, shocks, sway bar and tie rods
The torsion bar is inside the a arm tube, the ball joint is where the shock and the a arm come together and the tie rod fastens to the steering rack
i think the motor is a little more complicated
