Devo,

i think we're looking at the same car...i've tried calling, paging & e/m and the seller has been non-responsive so i just sent him/her an e/m stating if i win his auction and the car is not as represented i'm walking.

tunr6,
I'm more interested in the '86-'89 years, but this looked interesting. I did talk with the seller. He seemed up front about the car, but he didn't know a lot of details about it. He's only had it about 2 months. I don't like that. I almost bought the burgundy '86 on Ebay last week, but the PPI was 2 pages long. My rule now is to never buy without a PPI unless I can inspect the car in person before handing over my money. I know enough about looking at a car to do this ... to a point. I've never seen a car in my years that meets the sellers description, especially cars over 10 years old ... unless it's priced at a premium. Good luck with it.

Callas Rennsport in Torrance is the best. Only about a mile from Redondo Beach.

Also, I havent used these guys...but some people rave about Accutrak in Manhattan Beach.

tunr6,
Regarding the '74 911 in CA, the engine is the one that came with the car. It's a 2.7L. The original car paint color was metallic mahogany. My local dealer had the delivery specs on the car. Good luck with your bidding.

I second Robert at Dutch Treat in Lawndale. He did the PPI on my '87 in December (the day before Christmas even), and was great to work with. He even was the go-between for me (in Northern California) and the seller (in Mississippi). Robert did the repairs needed (Starter ring gear, and a clutch job since he was in there), along with a tune-up, etc. His bill was VERY fair, and I could not be happier.

PPI in Los Angeles (South Bay) ?
