Value of a 1965?

What is the value of a non-running '65 911 assuming it is not rusted out and there is nothing major wrong with the engine?

The description is too vague. I'd consider the car a roller worth around 2 grand without more info like how rusty the car is, what exactly is considered "nothing major"?

The seller says it is a solid car with only some surface rust here and there. The engine apparantly starts but will not idle and stalls out. The interior in the pics look like it must have been redone at some time. And the exterior looks good in the pics. I am going to take a look at it this weekend but I just wanted to get an idea of the value beforehand.

Someone once said the cheapest resto you can ever do is to take pictures of a crappy car. And there are few scarier comments from a seller than "some surface rust - nothing serious." A non-running car is a parts car or a project car, and you should pay accoridngly. Good luck.

Free 911's are usually -- by far -- the most expensive 911's.

Hi sharper,

tell us when you see it, I look forward to see some photos. I love '65 911, it's the first year of the 911.
