Paint line on Fuchs

I am thinking of redoing my Fuchs. I was going to do the polished spokes with black background. I am wondering if anyone has changed the paint line closer or farther from the cap. The few that I have seen go up the middle of the spoke. My wheels are 7's & 8's x16. A pic or two would be nice.

Thank you

Very good question! I used this picture of an old IROC 911 as the guide on where to set the tape. The effect of showing more polish then paint makes for a nice look. The downside is it requires much more work to work those little areas. (Use a dremel). One you mask, bead blast or roughen up the painted arear for better bonding. This was my project a few years ago finishing 8 and 9" by 16" fuchs:

Wow those look great. It looks like you moved the paint line closer to the hub than the other wheels I have seen.
Thanks for taking the time to post
