It's built from an early Turbo tub. It's an awesome car.

Met the owner in Monterey last summer, this would be another view of it, (taken through Jack's windshield):

And another in the lot, rides in this car were real popular. Lightweight + crazy torque = fun!

That ride is sick. I like it a lot. 305HP doesn't tell the true story when you have the silly torque to plant your arse.

The car is an absolute bullet, Rob W. who owns a 540 HP 993tt got a ride in it and came back raving to the heavens.

If I recall the engine they placed in that car is actually a normally aspirated 3.8 L RSR engine. Talk about torque to spare...what a rush that must be. I wonder if BB2 could take it out?

Not a fair comparison, engine-wise, (stock 964 3.6 vs. 3.8 RSR motor), but close in weight and traction probably. Both awesome cars, on the track it would still be a driver's contest, IMO.

The times I fantasize about building a race car (better known as "going broke") I always think of getting one of those dumb-ass early car/turbo conversions as the base - the ones you see on eBay where someone sunk a fortune into making his 73.5 911T look like a 930 but didn't bother looking at the engine, much less upgrading it. Seems a sensible idea for a base since everyone doing the early-tub thing winds up flaring the car out anyway.

That car was done here in our shop,.......

Its a genuine Factory 3.8 RS engine (not RSR) with a custom exhaust. Combined with the close-ratio gearbox, its really fun,....

Small world. I sold Barrett (The owner of the 930)those wheels. He saw the ad I placed here on Pelican about a year ago. I actually sent them to Weidmans directly. The funny thing is those wheels were on my dads turbolook SC when he purchased it. I don't beleive the seller really had any Idea about the value of those wheels.
