Mulholland run this coming Saturday (21st)
Hello Jack,
How about a Mulholland run this coming Saturday Feb 21? I sort of thought it is/was already on the agenda. Meet at Gelsons in Calabasas at 8 am. The earlier the better. The last one on the 24 of January got away sort of late. and that put a lot of traffic bikes etc on the road already. We can include a loop going up Mulholland from PCH and down Yerba Buena. Well, well, well Mr. Martin. Aren't you becoming the Canyon Junkie?
I would love to join you, fellas, but I have my first haircut in 3 months scheduled for that same morning @ 9am. Have fun, though. |

I think they have a run planned, but not for Mulholland.
From Jack's post.... "Milt and I are looking at a Mt. Baldy route next weekend. We should all definitely do a Bouquet-Cyn/Spunky-Cyn/St.-Francisquito-Cyn run, at some point in the future. I think Ryan is also working on the next Big Bear Run, now that his SC can reach warp speed in a heartbeat." I'm booked.

Here's the problem with a run this Saturday:
40% liklihood of rain on Saturday. Milt and I are going to 'test out' the Mount Baldy run on Sunday.

Yikes; that looks like a potential MoFo of a storm.
Unfortunately, I have to leave for Chicago early Sunday a.m. and have waaay too much to do to permit any p-car playtime. The poor car hasn't seen pavement in a few weeks already! (although I have been working on it, a little bit )

For those of you that might be interested, there is an open house at Andial this Saturday. Some folks are going to take a little drive from there, weather permitting.
I have no info on the open house, but I'm hoping for some race cars from next door. (Porsche Motorsports North America) Last edited by Zeke; 02-16-2004 at 10:32 PM.. |

On the other hand, I'm out there most days anyway.
So if there's enough interest, and dry pavement, I'll try to show up on Saturday, too. I'm a glutton for canyons.

Hi everybody,
Looks like the consensus out there and the weather says forget about it for February 21. How about trying for a Mulhollad run on February 28? May be the weather will cooperate. Martin '70 914-6GTR '81 911 SC Targa (for sale) |

The Mt. Baldy run sounds like a great time, and should be a nice change of pace from Mulholland.

What is the route that you guys will be taking for the Mulhalland run?
And/or the Mt. Baldy run. Or any drives for that matter.

The forecast keeps changing. Now they're suggesting that Sunday might be bad.
I say on Thursday or Friday we make a call.

I will be down in that area on Sunday if the weather is okay. There are some gents meeting up on PCH and Sunset and then making their way up to Santa Barbara via canyons and back roads ending up at Cold Springs Tavern for lunch. Thought I would make the drive with them since it ends in my backyard. ANyone else interested?
