well it runs, sort of..............
Hi Guys,
The good news: It's been a year and a half, but I finally got the motor back in my car and fired it up for the first time this afternoon! For those of you that haven't been following my progress on the rebuild forum, the car is a '72T, and the engine is a MFI T motor with 2.2E pistons and cams. Anyway, I followed the procedures in Wayne's book for startup. I got oil pressure after about 30 seconds of cranking. ![]() ![]() The bad news: I have a prety significant fuel leak where the MFI fuel line mates with the fuel injector on the #4 cylinder. ![]() The need: If anyone out there has a MFI fuel line and injector for the #4 cylinder that would work on my '72T, I'd be most interested in purchasing it from you. I haven't checked with our host, but I'm hoping I can find these parts used, since I am a bit suspect of the condition of the MFI system in general and may end up switching to carbs for a while until I can get the MFI sorted out. (ducking the barrage of stones thrown by the MFIWDP ![]() Slightly dejected and excited at the same time, Jim |

Sweet Jim! I wish I would have known you were doing the first firing today, I would have swung by.
