Hot brakes?
A friend of mine owns a Renegade Hybrid 914. His car's been heavily modified and I tell him I might want to add some mods on mine (just street seats, new suspension, low-key stuff). He said one of the first things I ought to consider is adding a mod to cool my brakes. I've read about many upgrades on this BBS but nothing about brake cooling. Big brakes, yeah, but not the things he suggests such as flex tubing routed to the area. Are 911 brakes cooler by design?

If you are using your car heavily on the track then brake cooling could be an issue. If you are going to double your horsepower then brake cooling might be an issue. If you are driving up and down pikes peak then you might need more brake cooling. If you drive your car on the street and in autoX then you probably don't need brake cooling.

911 brakes are more than adequate for street (or Autobahn) purposes. At the track they are still way ahead of other marques. Only at the track will you start to overtax the SC's brakes.
