Stone guards R/R

In removing stone guards off a turbo body should I use a hair dryer to soften up the old adhesive, gently pull off the old stone guards , clean the surface of old adhesive and then add the replacements....or is there a more complicated way to do it?

Thanks

Larry

That way should work fine. You might want to have on hand some product like goo-gone to remove any gummy residue as well. but looks like you got that covered by the clean up process.

Have at it. I found a hard plastic scaper helped get mine off. In my case heat helped a little, but not much. The bug & tar stuff did the trick.

IRON

ACTUALLY,

I have found that if you can add steam it really helps. If you have a good iron, place a towel on the stone guards and steam them, they should after a few minutes peel right off.

Don't use goo gone for the remnants. Use 3M adhesive remover and try it in an invisible location, just in case.
