Yet Another Electromotive question

I have a theoretical question for you all. I noticed this and then my local Electromotive dealer also pointed it out the base of the HPV-1 or HPX has two prongs coming out of it for each coil pack. This same dealer said that someone could probably mount the base somewhere and connect a “Y” to each prong and run it to two coil packs as shown in figure (B). The electromotive tech line said that “it doesn’t work that way” when I asked them yesterday. Do you all think that by branching the one lead to two for each coil, the supply to both coils would not be enough to run them properly? If this is not the case, is there any other reason that this configuration would not work?
