generic part help...
Fellas,
Anyone know if part #: 930.606.117.00 15 degree engine temp sensor has a generic Bosch or other manufacturer part number? Bascially, I'm trying to fix this on the cheap, and since it only provides a ground signal to the Lambda computer for 5-10 minutes (depending on temp) I really don't want to spend the $70 if I can help it. Otherwise, I'll bite the bullet. Maybe a trip down to Autozone (et al) to see if somethign will fit and come close to the temp I need? R/ Dustin |

well it also has to be calibrated properly for your guage -- I'd try to get a used one that still works -- or find another Euro manf. that used the same setup (Saab?)

Randy,
Thanks for the reply. However, I'm not talking about the oil temp sender. The part I'm asking about is the engine temp sensor for the Lambda box (located on the RH cam chain housing cover). The part itself sends a ground signal to the box when cold and at about 15* C, it opens to stop providing the ground signal. Essentially, the sender affets the duty cycle of the freq valve when cold... R/ Dustin |

You may want to call Bosch directly and ask to speak to a tech rep. They are usually very helpful.
Bosch Customer Service: 888-715-3616 (Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST; for U.S.)
