recovering a prototipo
when i bought my car in '84, it had an original '70's prototipo on it. the leather cover was a little scratched and faded but the black anodized spokes are perfect.
i took it off and stored it in a box in the rafters and am thinking of putting it back on. my question is this: it's a 13.5" diameter wheel... i have had great results with wheelskins covers, but they don't appear to make them with that small a diameter. has anyone ever recovered a 13.5"/350mm wheel with a high quality cover? any suggestions on where to get one? thanks.

I would check the tech articles that our generous host has posted. Somewhere I've seen how to cover a wheel with leather from scratch. You might be able to cut down an Alan Gunn kit.
Good luck, David Duffield |

try calling AGLA in florida. they advertise in excellence and i know a guy who sent his wheel in for restoration as the finishing touch to his RS.
