Carrera intake Manifold torque setting

'85 Carrera....Would nayone know the torque setting for the intake manifold bolts???

I don't think I ever found a satidfactory answer...you're compressing a rubber piece and the torque value you choose would be less appropriate over time. I would say "snug" and not cause deformation of the seals.

The Bentley Manual states a torque setting of 18 ft lbs. I'm in the process of reinstalling the intake manifold on my 87' and chickened out before I hit 18 ft lbs. I'd hate to crack those insulator blocks! Can anyone else verify that 18 ft lbs is correct?
