17" wheels and ride height

I am in the process of re-setting my ride height (86 Carrera) due to some weight removal and wanted to know...
For those of you with 17" wheels, have you needed to install bump steer spacers when setting your front fender height to 25-25.5"?
After a short test run, I really don't feel it is necessary.
Opinions.......

Thanks, Ben

Why should rim size affect your centerline ? Overall tire diameter or radius from the center are the #`s to be concerned with. Basically your tire height is the deciding factor.

Kurt, Agreed. I just wanted to see if others, with this combination, saw fit to add steering rack spacers. The radius of the 215/40/17 is slightly differnt than the stock 205/50/16.
Thanks, Ben

Bill, are you running at "euro heights"? By the way, your car was the inspiration for changing to Ruf bumpers; my only hope is that it turns out as nice as yours. After 7 years of ownership, I finally decided it was time for a change. The deletion of all that weight has really made the car wake up.
