Cool Pictures of pre '89 cars with 964 decklids?

Has anyone got a picture of what an impact bumper car would look like with the 964 decklid on it.

I "Think" I like the look of a 911 without the tail but do not want to lose the benefit of it.

Thanks in advance guys?

Cheers Jakes

I'm suprised how good that car looks with that spoiler! How much do 964 spoilers go for used? How did you control it? Did you use the 964 switch, or make your own?

Jack,

Thanks for the pics. That sunset one is stunning.

I think I like it very much!!!
Just something to add to my autojumble list......

Just another thing, I think I may have been using the wrong term all the time. What is an impact bumper car! I thought they were the SC and Carrera ones with the concertina type bumper.

Have I been mistaken all my life!!! OH NO!!! or are they the long hood ones with (what I call) bumper overriders?

Cheers Jakes

Thanks for the compliments on the car. Unfortunately, I totaled it a little over a year ago.

But the new version of the car has also used the 964 lid. I control it with a power window switch and a load-sensing device that makes it work like a 'one-touch' power window.

Impact-bumper cars are 1974-1989 models. Ryan (SurflvrSC) has a 964 tail on his SC Targa.

I know this sounds crazy - But the tail was tho only reason I was looking at C2's and C4's when I was shoping around

- Now that I got this wide body 3.2, maybe I can remove the whale tail lid and swap when ever I feel like it to a C2S look tail with a 85 widebody

BigRubberJeep, the last picture of my car shows what the tail would look like on a widebody car, just stubstitute your tail lights and bumpers for mine.

The only big obstacle is if you have an AC condenser in your decklid. You'll need to remove it to put in the 964 decklid. You can put a replacement one in the rear right fender or under the belly pan, but doing so means spending some money.

Man I am sold!! And I blame Surflvr911sc That is one mean ride you got there. I bet you don't miss your 3 litre:-)))))

I will definitely do this, but unfortunately it has to wait till after the rebuild.

Jack, thanks for the clarification, I have been following the progress from BB1 to BB2 all along.

BB2 in my eyes is what a 911 is all about.

Cheers Jakes
