I'd like RS door panels
I have a nice new set of door panels for my 70 911 and I have some pretty decent armrests, but I would really like to make it like an RS door style. Since I have the panels, what else do I need and where can I get the parts (reasonably) to make this work. I really don't want to buy the entire RS setup with door panels included unless someone would buy my existing panels and armrests. Any suggestions?

Post a pic and ad of the panels and arm rests on the used parts for sale forum, if they're in good shape you ought to be able to sell them pretty easily and help finance new RS ones. I don't think you can make your old ones into RS style, you'd have holes in the fabric from the arm rest, where the RS just has the loop to open the door.

Well my panels dont have any holes yet, and the board backing has cutouts for all sorts of things. Does that make any difference?

Does your fabric have the pleats in it? RS ones are plain, http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/images/interior/911E-RSA_Dr_Pnl.jpg, so the look would be different. Plus, I don't know where you'd go about getting the loop and handle by themselves.

It's either $230 or $300 depending on vinyl or leather, I bet you could get at least half of that from selling the old ones.
