Hi folks. I just wanted to give a shout-out to everyone for helping to support Pelican. Your support over the past few years has helped us to grow between 40% and 80% per year. With that growth, we have funneled lots of money back into the business and the website, in the hopes that we can serve you guys better.
As you have seen, we're currently overhauling the website, and will be tweaking it for more years to come. We're working on more Wizards to guide you through the processes of upgrading your cars. We're working on new and unique products (like the silver Prototipos that we are having specially made, soley due to the demand shown on this BBS). This week was a record milestone - about 20% higher than our last record (which was only three weeks ago). We look forward to growing the business, and building on the proven model for website excellence (price, selection, ease-of-ordering) combined with stellar customer service. Thanks again for your support! -Wayne and Tom

Finding Pelican has been the worse thing to ever happen to bank account. The 3.6 conversion alone should make me a damn stock holder!
Congrats Wayne! You have found a niche that this board is a huge part of, and you back it up w/ great service on many levels.

Congratulations Wayne. You should go back and search for that thread I remember from a couple of years ago when your sales were down and you were wondering if you were doing something wrong. I recall all the encouragement you got in that thread from the members of this board. Looks like things are literally paying off!

Yes, I remember that thread clearly - five or six weeks of very slow sales. I gave up a long time ago trying to predict the trends.
We're happy with our 2004 results so far, and are most looking forward to continued expansion of the Porsche site *and* our BMW & DriveWerks sites. If you know anyone who has a BMW, be sure to tell them about our new BMW catalogs (3 & 5 Series) that we just installed last week: http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/catalog/catalog.htm Thanks! -Wayne

Wayne, how about a seperate page devoted only to those hard-to-find early (65-73) 911 goodies? i.e. R-lights, RS door panels, repro RS/RSR seats, repro driving/hood-mount lights, Prototipo wheels, ducktails, S/RS front spoilers, graphics, R door handles, R deck lid hinges, RS/RSR flares, etc., etc. -- Curt

Wayne,
Thanks for everything! I don't know what I would do with this resource and the great folks I've "met" here! Fair prices, great products, fantastic information and camaraderie, what more could I ask for? I'm sure I'll think of something... Thanks again!!

Curt...that may open a can of worms. I opened a package that arrived here yesterday...ordered from Pelican by Evren Unver. A set of headlight buckets, to be drop shipped by the original source. I discovered a very well made, and well packed, set of battery boxes! Arrgh! These were packed incorrectly and shipped directly by one of Wayne's suppiers. I've never had a problem with orders shipped from Pelican itself. I called, and "Robert" of Pelican's customer service is working on the problem. At least when things are shiipped by Pelican, and they come from Pelican, Wayne has more control...outside suppliers can cause headaches...I know that from my own past biz experiences. The solution? We all shop Pelican often enough for Wayne to take over the P-car factory!
Maybe then we'd see a return of a racing program?

My thanks to you, Wayne!
My orders from you guys have been accurate, in good condition, and arrived quickly. All attributes that are becoming rare in this e-commerce dominated world. This BBS has helped me pass some long winter hours, and contributed much useful information. My hat's off to Pelican!

Congrats Wayne, this BBS is an incredible resource, and all my parts dealings have been pleasant with Pelican. I like the fact too that the owner is also an enthusiast, not just someone who's in it to make money (though I'm sure you won't complain about that).

Yeah, what's not to like!?
The board rocks, you drive a ferrari, the guys on the phone have a clue, and more importantly, they care! Why go anywhere else? So, keep up the great choices with fast turnarounds for reasonable prices combination and you'll continue in yout growing ways.

Just got the OK from my accountant to make another purchase from you Wayne. The only thing holding me back right now is the lack of confidence in my skills to DIY my suspension upgrades. I have your 101 projects book, the Bentley's manual and this board to help me so I should be set, right? Does your customer service provide tech support as well just in case? No other on-line vendor does that I know about. Even if you don't plan on adding that service in the future, PP still rocks!

When I first purchased my Porsche, I tried many different vendors just to get a taste of thier prices and customer service. That was four years ago, and for the last two years I have ordered exclussively from Pelican for the items you guys carry. You just can't beat the prices, service, and this BBS.
Thanks Wayne & Tom!

Just ordered and received clear euro lenses for the 993... after hearing of fitment problems from others, I was relieved that that they fit perfectly. Wayne's service *and* parts are both top-notch. I will continue to support him as much as I can, even though the 993 doesn't eat quite as many parts as the ole 84 did.
