			Another Weissach owner sent me a photo of his refinished seat and I gotta tell you it looked like it was brand new.  He said he used Color+.  The website is pretty interesting and from the results I gotta say well worth it.

			I used Colorplus when completely restoring my '83 911SC, and a couple of cautions: 
		
	
		
	
			
			
		
		
		
		
		
			1/I used it to change tan leather to black, though not on the seats, which I replaced with cloth Recaros. I suspect that such a drastic color change in high-wear areas, as opposed to sidepanels, etc. would be a problem. This stuff is essentially paint, and where it comes off, it exposes the original color below. It doesn't come off easily, but then I'm not sitting on it. 2/I brushed it on, very carefully, using the provided very fine-bristle brush, but you can still tell it's a brush job if you look closely (complete with the tiny bristles that come off and embed themselves in the paint). Were I to do it again, I'd spray it on. 3/The better you clean the old color off the leather, the better the job will be, and cleaning the old color off involves a lot of sandpapering, abrading, and use of lacquer thinner over and over again. 			I've done my old standard and new (to me) sport seats with www.leathrique.com and both sets came out with good results. 			I used the Leatherique rejuvinating oil, crack filler and dye.  They looked great when finished but did not hold up well.  I think the leather was too dried out to save.  If they are in pretty good shape and not brittle I think you should de well.

			Look into "surflex" too.  I used it, and I think I got it from color plus.  Very good product, and easy to apply as long as you do the job in the steps required.
