Custom steering wheel spacer?

Sometime ago I bought the AJ steering wheel (I also got the spacer for the steering wheel) for my 930 and really like it still to this day. BUT, after getting my new seats I felt like the steering wheel was a little far away even after re adjusting the seat. So I decided to install the spacer I never used. Well, I hate it and saw the article on Pelican about a guy who made a custom spacer with longer screws. That is what I need and would like to know if anyone has already designed a spacer for it? 1/2"-3/4" would be great if anyone knows where to buy one.

Thanks,

Brent

Brent, I used the stock spacer, but I didn't like the eccentric type movement associated with it. I cut out the middle of the spacer so the horn pad could be installed and instead of bolting the spacer to the hub then bolting the wheel onto the spacer, I just used longer screws to go through the wheel and spacer. I hope this makes sence.

No, I bought a spacer for the 930 wheel from Pelican, it is about 3/4 inch thick. It has two sets of (3) holes, one set to mount it to the hub, and another to mount the steering wheel to the spacer.

Are you talking about a steering wheel that mounts to a Momo type hub adapter?
If so, Momo makes a standard hub adapter and a long hub adapter. The long adapter is around 5/8-3/4" longer if I remember correctly. Sparco also makes spacers that are about 1/2" thick. Sparco also makes a spacer that is around 2" thick. I have all of the above in my attempt to get the wheel back in reach. If you're talking about this type of hub/spacer, I can take some pictures of what I have.

Yes, it looks the same as the AJ unit. I would take a picture for you but my car is in a "car jacket". (Giant plastic bag)
