rear monoballs

Are there differences in rear monoballs? Are there different manufacturers for these? I've seen Weltmeister and others. Also, the prices can vary quite a bit. What do you guys recommend? Cost is an issue. I am way over my budget doing the rear suspension, adding swaybar, new bushing, ?new bearings, etc.

Thanks,
John

Elephant now has rear monoballs with seals for water, dirt, etc. Seems like a very good idea.

I haven’t bought them yet, but when I do I will be getting the Elephant Racing monoballs.

Everything Chuck Moreland makes is first class; he seems to look at other designs, aftermarket or factory, and only produce his own version or alternative if he finds a way to improve over all the others. Products like finned oil lines and poly-bronze bushings are great examples of that.

Edit: Other pluses for buying Chuck’s mono balls are that you can buy them through Pelican and he is a valued contributor to this board.

How about Stomski? Is Elephant Racing monoball better? I don't mean to offend Chuck; he's a great conributor to this site.

I don't know anything about the Stomski monoballs.

From another thread...

For the Polybronze bearings, I'm recommending 10k miles or once per year. Just takes a squirt or two. Squeezed out excess can be wiped off with rag.
