Great ebay screw up

Look at the front/back wheel offsets... Looks like 15x7 front and 16x6 rear.

Gotta rotate those tires, who care about a loss of traction and potentially weird steering issues!!

I once saw a 944 with 8's on one side and 7's on the other. One side looked really good and the other looked sort of crummy. Hard ot get those things figured out when you can only see one side of the car at a time!

A friend picked me up for a ride in his brother's Ferrari 348 once. My friend (a good track driver) said he was not impressed with the handling. As I was looking the car over I noticed his brother had swapped the front and rear wheels....

I looked at an 87 Carrera on a local used car lot a couple of years ago. Every time I drove by I thought something looked weird about the wheels, one time it would look like it had 7s or 8s, the next time it would look like it had all 6s. When I finally stopped to look at it, I realized the dealer had new tires installed. They put both 6" rims on one side and both 7" rims on the other side, with the front tire size all around. Bet that baby handled sweet!

Reminds me of last week... with all the great weather (80 degree+ for 10+ days in a row) I went out and bought a couple new pairs of casual shorts. At the end of the day, my family and I are at home, and my two teenage sons point at me and start belly-laughing. I had the stupid sticker that says "LARGE" fifty times on it going down my butt to the hem. Been wearing it that way all day.

probably that guys first sports car, probably used to driving something with 4 identical wheels and swapping fronts and rears when fronts are worn a bit...
so they all wear out equally , i used to do that every 3 months with my old Golf because that's how long it took me to get them pretty worn...
but then again, it didn't have RWD, nor did it have different sizes front and back

When I had my last set of tires mounted on my SC, the friendly local tire dealer installed my left rear wheel, 7" with a 225/50-16, on the left front and the 6" wheel with a 205/55-16 on the left rear. I looked a bit odd, to say the least. He at least got the right side correct and all the wider tires were mounted on the wider rims and they were all mounted with the right rotation direction. I didn't drive it that way so I can't comment on the handling.

Good catch,

Jerry Kroeger

I too had a disappointing tire experience last summer. Finally decided on the S03's, and when I went to pick up the car, it looked weird. Upon closer inspection, they had mounted the rear tires(225/50) on the front wheels (7's) in the rear, and the front tires (205/55) on the rear wheels (8's) on the the front.

looks like Hellblau Metalic (aka heliblau) to me

Like this one:

http://www.europeanlocators.com/1979%20Porsche%20Euro.html

If you do a search for "blue" in only thread titles, you find a couple of "show me your blue car" threads. Searching for hellblau or heliblau might turn up the code.

Mike - move that sticker to the front, along the fly. Chicks dig that.
