i am in need of help from anyone in the Austin, Tx area. a 1971 porsche 911 has come to my attention at the local Jaguar dealer(12633 Research Blvd. Austin,Tx 78759, Ph. 512-219-9533) unfortunately i live in houston and work monday- saturday and would not be able to make it out to see the vehicle. also i ma not well versed in what to look at even if i did go. i am asking for the help of one of you to please take a look into this vehicle for me.
the info i know: -current owner has had it since 1984 -transmission has been replaced with 1974 911 -carerra rear flares added -ducktail fin added -tightened suspension -Targa top -white Price: $10,000 also could someone please suggest a reputable shop that could do a PPI for me? if you need to contact me do so at: Silverkinggames@yahoo.com thanks a bunch in advance Chris Tidmore |

I will go take a look if you want. I am new to the area but know my way around an early car. I could not do comp. checks since my tools have not arrived with the movers. I am staying right down the street from the dealer.
email or PM the details and we can talk.

I can take a look at it as well. I'm okay on early cars- I know more about body & interior than motor.

Jamie, I'm in the area too and have a comp. tester and some tools. I'm just getting started so my tool collection is a bit limited and I haven't yet performed a comp. test. But if you are going to look at the car, let me know and you can borrow some stuff or I'll go with you.

John,
Do you have a garage to go with those tools? I would like to do a comp test if we can find some space off the lot. I don't want to start tearing into this car in front of the suits selling it. PM or email me to coordinate. Dave you are welcome to come along. We can make it the official "Jamie meets people in Austin and PPI's a car for Chris" meeting.

Its on PPI tomorrow starting at noon after picking up the car. Any Austinites are welcome to join in the fun. Donk has graciously offered his garage for the occasion.
