Stainless hardware - group buy?

I just placed an order for some metric hw with these guys:

http://www.boltdepot.com

However, i realized that i need a few other pieces and the shipping and handling is more than the additional items i need. Unfortunately, nowhere local has what i need so i thought maybe some of you, especially if you're local, might be interested in jumping in on an order.

I guess this can be considered on topic since the hw is needed for multiple projects on my 911

I assume these stainless steel fasteners are for decorative or non-critical structural items as common stainless steel fasteners are significantly weaker than carbon steel fasteners.

Exhaust components and some miscellaneous non-critical applications like seat rails, etc.

The customer service rep at BoltDepot.com was great, they emailed me a tracking number, received bolts in two days, and the shipment came with a package of M&M's Very Happy

Nice to see there are still companies out there who cater to their customers. Also, keep in mind my order was less than $10.

"Exhaust components". I wouldn't recommend the use of stainless for the heat exchanger to head joints - too weak; heat exchanger to muffler is okay. Jim

interesting.. I couldn't find the m8 crush washers used for valve jobs and such.. that's kind of annoying since I haven't found those locally.

Right Jim...i was going to use them for premuffler to heat exchanger and premuffler to muffler. Both the premuffler and muffler are stainless.

I thought the M&Ms were a bit strange. I thought maybe the guy dropped a snack in there by accident

I scoured the earth looking for m8 aluminum crush washers (in bulk and with the correct I.D. and O.D. dimensions) for that very job... in the end, by far the cheapest price was buying 100 from my local porsche dealership... hard to believe, I know...

EDIT: part # 900 031 014 30

I wouldn't use all stainless on the exhaust system. I tried it years ago and the stainless seized together like you wouldn't believe. I seem to recall seeing someone selling a stainless exhaust hardware package that included stainless steel bolts with nuts made out of either copper or carbon steel. Something about the intense heat tends to cause the all stainless combo to bind up.

Another parts place does this for orders over $50 and the last set of heads I had done came with candy also. I think it is great marketing!

ouch...

wayne, i should apologize... i didn't even think to inquire with PP for something so small (which is a mistake, i realize)... when i ran the shipping costs, taxes (14%) and duty charges quickly through my head... well (insert embarrassed cough here)... it won't happen again.
