Glovebox light

Hi all,

I've been trying to fix the glovebox light without success... I guess that the light is broken, but I'd like to confirm with all the bright people here before I try to get a new one....

I don't have pic's so I try to explain...

On the left hand of the light there are two connections.
- The first one is connected to the the clock (+) and something more... (according to the diagram to the interior light)
- The secon one is problably connected to the cigarette lighter, but I haven't been able to follow it.

On the right hand there is one connection that is connected to the glovebox switch (ground).

The switch works and the bulb works. If I connect a testtool between (+) and (ground) it works. Of some reason, when I connect the ground it does not seem to be connected to the plate that holds the bulb. Broken?

Sorry for making a short story long.....

/Christian

I would guess that the bulb is not making contact in the socket in which it sits. If you are getting juice to the socket, and the ground is solid, then it stands to reason that either 1) the bulb is dead (you checked that it is ok) or 2) the mechanical contact to the bulb from the socket must be bad.
