Alternator help

Ok, i'm at the point with the motor now where i have to connect the wires back up to the alternator. Problem is that i didn't right down there orientation when i took it apart, i just well took it apart. Any electrical gods know if this is how it's properly wired or not? The ground is on the left, the positive is on the right, and the other wires (one green one and three brownish looking ones) are on the top.

HEY! how is school going? here is the wire stuff.

B+ (at least two, maybe three fat red wires-- two go to the engine wire harness and one goes through the grommet at the forward edge of the engine tin to the starter)

B- (fat brown wire. goes to the engine wire harness)

D+/61 (thin blue wire, the one we have been talking about)

DF (thin black wire, "Dynamo Field" or the field wire, used to supply field excitation current once the alternator is putting out voltage)

School isn't bad, although it sucks not having money like i used to anymore. I had to seriously cut down on my traveling and strip club adventures but oh well.
Anyhow, i'm a little lost, my alternator only has three terminals, with three grouped brownish/red wires, fat single red wire, and the large brown wire that grounds to the engine. And the only terminals that i can read on the back say D- and B+.

Here is a slightly better set of pictures, so that maybe some one can point me in the right direction a little bit.

No one? One of the eletrical gods has to know which wire goes where. Or at least maybe someone knows which terminal is the DF, D61, B+ and B-?

Porsche Crest

I don't think you searched very hard in the archives ...

The two brown cables go together on one stud. The 'green' wire, as you have been calling it, is the Blue Terminal #61 wire.

That is a three-wire alternator covered by the following bulletin:

One of those junk Paris-Rhone 75 amp alternators, beware of what battery
is used with it. The "monster" batteries will "kill" the junk Paris-Rhones.
The regulator needs to be replaced, as it's the old style which generally
causes the alt. to overcharge, killing the alt. (too many amps > too much
heat). Pelican stocks this regulator.

You've got the worst alt. Porsche ever used!

What's new, bad news has become a daily thing with my SC. You'd think satan owned this damn car. Anyhow, i'm in the process now of looking for an engine wiring harness because shortly after wiring up the alternator i noticed that the rest of the wiring harness is getting kind of brittle and falling apart in a few places. Thanks for the heads up though.
