How To Install Simpson Belts?
Can someone explain which parts to use when installing these bad boys? I have a Weltmeister harness bar and the belts that go to the rear points. I have all of the hardware. Here is a picture of what I have for hardware. Can someone point out what goes where? You can use arrows or something to point at stuff?

Mike, I saw that last night, but I don't see any diagrams on what hardware to use and where. The PDF files have lots of other info, though.

Bump.
Can someone help? I don't understand why there are smaller Eye hooks. Do the large washers go under the pan? Or, do the larger Eye hooks actually thread into the stock spots (albeit the rears for the shoulder straps).

Chili, I have no idea what your smaller eyebolts are for, but I can tell you how I hooked up my harnesses. I have a BK harness truss, so my shoulder belts are attached directly to the truss. Anyway, all of your large eyebolts can be screwed directly into the factory mounting points. If you don't have the clip-on type attachments in addition to what you have pictured, you need to get them. Your lap belt can use your factory hardware to bolt into, but you may lose the functionality of the factory belts. So I would recommend you use the eyebolts and clipons at all attachment points. The clip on style allows you to run the harness through the clip on bracket and then just "clip it on" to all of the large eyebolts you attached to the factory mounting points. If you do not use the eyebolts, you will use your factory bolts and attach the harness directly to it. For the sub strap, I would use the large eyebolt through the large washer, drilled to through the floor, backed up by another large washer, lock washer and locking nut. This should give you a strong attachment point that won't be pulled out easily.
Having said all that, you have an assortment of parts in your picture, a lot of which is useless. The bracket at the very top of the picture appears to be for your substrap to go through since it looks to be only a 2" type. If it were me, I'd say you need five more big eyebolts and a clip-on for every eyebolt (total of ten). If none of this makes sense, call whoever you got it from and ask them WTF over! PS. All this assumes you are installing a pair of harnesses, not just one...

Chili,
Isn't there a race shop in ol' So-Cal that you can take your car to? Seat belts are such an important item that possibly getting the wrong information can result in a serious injury. We had a tech session at an auto safety parts store and that helped address a lot of very basic issues. Mike
