I made the first non stock modification to the 911S

This really didn't look too swell to me.

So, I made a holder...

and put it here.

Is this the race crack thing? (again)
BTW, this little gel cell cranks it fine.

I don't know about the race crack, but you've cut way down on your crack smuggling payload. You're just going to have to make more border crossings to make up the difference...

Yah, Milt, next thing you know you will be cutting out the battery boxes to get better air flow to your oil coolers and room for your brake ducts...

Nice!

Do me a favor and take some lacquer thinner and a scotch-brite pad and clean the overspray off those wiring harnesses.

Don't you know it! The PO was so bad. This is horrible in the trunk. BUT, I have all the goodies from the Targa to replace the painted parts. It's not overspray, they painted everything in sight in there.

Fortunately, the engine did not suffer the same fate. The battery was the first move to get this mess cleaned up.

Oh, and lac thin doesn't touch this stuff, and acetone isn't a whole lot better. MEK melts the sheathing. Any suggestions?

Alternately, you could paint the battery and bracket red to match.
