trying to keep an opened mind

Well it finally happened, or maybe I’m just getting too old. I was driving home last night, in 1st gear traffic, and a barely recognizable 993 caught my eye merging into traffic along side of me. This guy had put what looked like every body kit accessory made on it. Not my style, but to each his own, and as I get older, I try to keep an open mind about such things. So, I’m thinking, okay, that’s fine…..until he hit the go pedal a bit to get in front of me…I looked around hoping that fart can sound was coming from a nearby Accord or Supra, but of coarse it wasn’t, it was the 993. I couldn’t help from laughing…isnt it funny how some of us rarely use our car stereos, heck, I even have my window down most of the time, just to hear my whiny cool thrashing sounding engine. I guess 41 is a lifetime away from 22. But it did get me thinking, how do they that sound to come out, I guess it's just a muffler? Would it be possible to say, get that high pitched screaming sound of an F1 racecar? Now that I think would be as my daughter would say, tight or totally sick…

Speaking of sound, well before the Rice of today I recall some pretty crappy sounding 911 exhausts. One guy I knew had a 4" dual exhaust on his turbo...it literally sounded like an old truck.
