3.4 cylnders and pistons
Ok time for the rebuild on an 87 3,2, I was only planning a valve job
but since its down that far where do I get new 3.4 pistons and cylnders. I will replace the ramps timeing chains and have the heads done by either ollies or christian garibaldi. any previous experience by the board is welcome . Keith Epperly- 87 slant nose turbo look carrerra cabriolet |

Pelican Had them here a few months ago. The Mahle Big Bore 3.4 P/C's. The salesman offered me a very good price, but my mechanic already had a set of them set away. Look for them to add about $3500 to your rebuild. Ouch!

How about JE 98mm pistons from Pelican for about a grand with rings and EBS racing bored cylinders for about 900 exch. You can get the JEs in any compression ratio you want, but I would not go above 9.5 or 9.8 with single plug. Then throw in some 964 cams.......
Just a thought. Jeff

The increased horsepower will be roughly proportional ot the increased displacement - about 6% or 13HP. I'm not trying to discourage you just don't expect too much.
