VW/Porsche Playhouse Progress - air & paint

It's now plumbed for air and mostly-painted. The door gets installed Wednesday.

Thom, That lift looks suprising good. Is the lift wide enough that there is adequate support left-to-right? I'm sure the car doesn't rock front-to-back, but L2R looks a little precarious.

Where do you place the four pads for the lifting? It looks like the pads go under the usual locations.

How wide is the lift, and who make it, and where is it available?

Looks good, Thom. When's the garage warming party?

I'm truly jealous. I need a garage like that.

I would suggest you re-orient your air quick disonnects though. Point them straight up, preferably on a length of pipe. You want gravity working for you make condensate flow towards your draincock(s). Provide adequate slope in all horizontal runs to flow condensate to your drain. Your current setup lets condensate flow into your hose.

I discussed this with the guy at the local Air Tool Store. While having them point down isn't optimal, I have ameliorated the problem somewhat by the 20' underground pipe run and the 2 inline air drier/filters.

I may re-orient them poining straight out, but I didn't want to point them straight up because it would put too much strain on the hose.

The lift is a Mohawk HR-6 It's actually pretty stable side-to side. I do plan to make "outriggers" to put under each side for when I have a car on it long term, of if i'm doing some thing 'violent' to the car on the lift.

I do want to have a garage-warming party, once the sewer stuff is done and the front pad is placed.

Ideal would be an upside down "J". That would point them down for strain relief, yet have the long leg of the J working gravity in your favour.
