Dash door won't open - hmmm...

Okay, so my big excuse to myself is it's a 30-year-old car. I've been saying that all day: "It's a 30-year-old car..."

Well, the damned glove box/dash door won't open on my 30-year-old car; so I figure what the hell and pull the whole 30-year-old dash door OFF!

So, how do I do this when the damned door won't open?

Is your stash in there or something?

Is it the lock mechanism or is something else wrong?

Yeah, my something-something's in there. Can't you tell by my tone?

I think it's the lock. I turn and turn it and it don't want to go-go and open. WAAAAAAAHHHH

See if this helps:

Glovebox won't open

I'm at work, chained to my 'puter, or I would go investigate...

I've heard that all you have to do is pull real hard and it will open. Try it
