Smile Ordered my 993 Widebody fenders / quarters today...She has skin!

Disclaimer : Pelican did not offer these parts so I bought them elsewhere

Thanks for everyones input on fiberglass vs. carbon fiber for the street and also where to get them from.

I ended up getting the 993 +2" front fenders and the 993 +3" rear quarters in street weight fiberglass from Ryan D. at TheRacersGroup.com - They sell the "good brand" and the prices were very good also - did a lot of checking around.

The +2 / +3 parts are wider than turbo ( like the GT2 width ) and will live over the polished set of Kinesis K58's 11" F / 13" R that I got last month These rear quarters will accept up to 74" from the outside of the rear tires and I was at 74.25" so I may have to trim the lip a little (maybe )

I will report on what the quality is like and hopefully have some test fit photos here soon!!

She finally will have a skin!!! It's like friggin Christmass!!! Woooo!!!

Thanks Todd

Hi Bell -

I called in the order on the way to ship you your oil line

The car looks badass - very Mad Max with the Kinesis and no fenders, quarters, bumpers LOL - has doors though...

People go "Err...What is it?"

Thanks TimT

Ryan probably cringes everytime I call because I ask a thouseand questions but I always close the conversation with giving him all of my money

Ryan Rocks! His attitude is " Sure, you can do that "

PS: From what I am spending on getting my car 100% I will be moving into those big cardboard boxes as my new residence

88911coupe -

It was a 84 911 Targa at birth -

Then it became a steel wide body with vents and boxed rockers targa -

Now it is a naked ( took it to bare metal tub ) manual top cabrolet with very shiny wheels :-) and mostly new / restored parts.

Not all of its life was my doing some was PO. Mods - It is not a garage car it is a drive it all the time fun car, err that is when it is put together.

However I was mildly harrased by local small town police for driving it with body/engine/wheels/brakes/drivers seat and not much else Mid build test drive
