[OT] -- slightly. HEARD a Carrera GT yesterday
The AVIs and MPEGs dont' do it justice. The sound of a Carrera GT is maybe the most intoxicating drug ever devised.
An Auto Gallery tech was gassing up the silver one they got yesterday and he was nice enough to blip the throttle once for me, then take off down Ventura Blvd. Not only does the sound make the hairs on your arms stand up, the thing revs quicker than anything I've heard off a race track.

I followed one on the way to work a couple weeks ago (yep w/ Auto Gallery plates in the Malibu area) and it was truly a glorious sound. We didn't really get much chance to exercise the right pedal, but in a quick 1st gear goosing it left my chipped Audi S4 wondering WTF had just happened...
