Got a web certificate for $10 off on a purchage of $50 or more. I think to myself, "Self, you really don't need anything right now. There's still stuff in the garage that hasn't even been installed yet." But NOOOOO, I sucumb to my weakness and use the damn thing right before it expires to a buy a short shift kit that "I need."

As far as I know, you get the coupons if you order stuff. I think if and what you get is by chance - computer generated.

they're kinda useless for us folks down in Europe since a coupon basically gives you 10% off the shipping cost
so unless you get one right before you actually need something, they aren't much of an incentive to buy because they expire...

a frequent buyer discount might be more effective

Michael, that's why I have so many tools. I "need" lots of stuff. My philosophy has always been when your buying stuff for a project, always buy a tool you don't need. That way you'll likely have all the tools you need for the next project. The philosophy isn't very sound, but I have lots of cool stuff now.

I think you have to be ordering online to get them-- they're computer generated and the coupons are only good if you use them online.

Bill, I do the same with the tools. I made the comment to my brother about I didn't need this tool. His comment "What need got to do with it". Bought the tool. Having the right tools for projects and working on the car doesn't get any better except for driving it when your done.

The discounts are very random. I've given dozens of orders and have received discounts on maybe 4 occasions. And only two have been repeats. I like the cars I got!! My wife has one on her desk at work!

I have never received anythng, boxster or coupon. I'm not complaining, Wayne, Darrin and Tom have taken care of me when the time was right.
