This is my first torque wrench and my wife threw away the booklet that came with it.
it has inch pounds on the shaft that go from 120 to 960 all the way up the shaft in increments. around the handle there are numbers 0-9. you twist the handle to move it up the shaft to set your desired value. how do you set this thing? if i want 72 inch pounds do i move it up to 720 with the handle on the 1? is this enough information to answer this question? i got it at pepboys and its a performance tool brand. i couldnt find one anywhere else. thanks, Frank |

Hmm, sounds like you will be screwed if you want 72 inlbs. That thing goes from 120 - 960 in-lbs or the equivalent of 10 - 80 ftlbs.
Now, to show you how it works, imagine you wanted 153 in-lbs, twist until you get to 150 where the 0 or the 0-9 scale lines up with 150, and then twist until the 3 on the 0-9 scale lines up with the centerline of the scale, then you will be at 153.
