Mounting locations for ZR3 Transducers

With laser seemingly becoming the weapon of choice amongst the local constabulary, I've picked up one of those Escort laser jammers on eBay.

Standing in front of my '87 Carrera (guinea pig for this new toy) - it's hard to visualize many options for placement of the front transducers.

Above the fog lights?

Behind the fresh air intake?

I'll probably have more inspiration when I lay hands on the unit and actually read the instructions - but choices are obviously limited.

Anyone else have these units installed in their 911s?

I'm giving myself a bump here...

Must be someone out there with a ZR3 installed on a 911?

Cool Transducers....

I've never played with one of these systems, but I would probably go with the fresh air intake (at back edge of hood). You might need to replace the metal grill with a non metallic substitute to avoid signal blockage, but otherwise, that should be a good location. Sounds like an interesting project. Keep us posted!

Good Luck!
