Need a distributor for 2.7

I need a distributor for my 70 911. The engine is a 2.7 w/ 40 webers and S cams. What is the preferred type of distributor for my application?

Porsche Crest Parts

I noticed this ad on our club site a few weeks back, Bruce is usually very fair on pricing.

Hi Rich..
I don't have the papers handy, but I can read the dizzy if needed. Call Pelican and tell them "2.7 RS dizzy" and they should know what your talking about. It was under $300 brand new.

and PMO used to recommend that dizzy for their carbs. It has a short advance curve.. again, I'll read the dizzy number if needed.

ron,
will the 2.7 rs dizzy work in a cis-powered 2.7? is there a significant difference in the advance curve from my stock 150 hp 911 (non s-model)? or am i just grasping for cheap, extra performance somehow?

Does the RS dist. have a vacuum advance on it? Any comments on using a distributor that has a vacuum advance and mechanical advance with the vacumm disconnected?

from the dizzy housing

0 231 184 004

it comes with the simple rotor.. someone just posted within the past week that a MSD toasted a rev limiting rotor because of the rotor design.

Thanks Ron, I'll give Pelikan another call and ask for that specific model, I see they list it as NLA but maybe they have some stock.
