Interesting '94 Speedster on eBay

I think it should get dinged for not having correct seats, but other than that, it's pretty unique.

That is where my father bought his 88 Carrera. Very reputable shop. They get lots of rare 911s in. They have a 97 TT with under 10k miles selling for $116k! www.ooley-blackburn.com didn't know they also sold on ebay.

This is the ideal car for eBay: one person in a million will kill to own this color and model.

One buyer means there may not be any competitors to get bids up to the right level, but the listing ends up serving as an international advertisement and an out-of-auction sale.

I guess I am that one in a million. It's drop dead gorgeous!
Imagine in 20 years time, how many red, grey, blue and white 964s there will be, and how many green ones?

Anyone wants to buy a factory built 944 Turbo Cup to help me finance this Speedster??

They had an another one just like that only it was rasberry red a few months ago. Not quite obnixious as that one in the signal green, but close. It will be interesting to see what they get for it. I love thsoe loud colors Porsche used.

If going to get a loud color like that, why hold back on the interior and get regular seats and not the usualy Speedsteer trim, although a lime green dash and shifter would be over the top.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the seats probably are original, I think you could order the normal seats as an option.

Those seats look like 993-era to me, but then Europe had the 993 in 1994, so it's conceivable the seats came that way.

factory 964 seats, and as Ed mentioned, I am sure they were available for (and came with) that car.

Call me crazy, but how could anybody in their right mind drive a car this color? I think this come from the "Barbie playhouse" custom paint schemes.

according totheir description, it sounds as though the origianl owner ordered the leather instead of the standard seats.

And he chose the 73 green as well, and it is WILD!

love it

They've had that car for a few months and were trying at at 55 for a while. I have had my eye on it. the problem is the 964 speedster was a total dud in sales. I bought mine in Feb of 96 and had found several brand new ones on dealerslots they could not sell at all. I love the color but its not a 48 grand car to me. By the way you could order the comfort seats as a no charge option. The silver wheels by the way are a no charge option too. The standard wheels are painted body color. Mine was stolen from my garage when i lived in Santa Monica. I have been lusting over this one for months.

If it is a '73 Series color then it is Viper Green, not Signal Green and yes I do love it also. I also like the fact that it doesn't have the color matched wheels. That would be a little much.

Hey George I would be glad to drive down to the dealer and give it a shake down test drive for you. It's only a couple hours away.

I love that green, very rare color! Wonder what happened to the correct seats in matching green?

The speedster seats never came in total color match, even the recaro's thaat were standard had to be special ordered with inserts that were color matched and even then it was only the inserts.

I saw one '94 at the local used car lot asking $60,000 with 9,000 miles. The salesman was saying it's the most collectible Porsche ever. I was laughing inside. He probably does not know the real Speedster should be the '89 , not 1994 or any other year. If that '94 is a '89 with 9,000 miles, $60K is still too high. For the '94, the price should be in the low $40s.
