3.3l turbo

The boost seems to be kicking in a little later than usual. Any reason why it would occur?

1998, I believe, hard to tell how many miles, odometer just repaired

check for hoses blown out or off, and the o-rings in and out of the intercooler and on the turbo at the bottom of the boost pipe.
