New Air Box Covers

I don't have my inventory yet so i asked Wayne not to put it on the website untill i do but here is a sneak peak at one i customized for my car. The color is what the productin part is but the polished alum face plate and the Porsche logo "will not" be on the part for sale{god forbid the porsche police should come after me}. This will give you an idea of simple upgrades. The suggested retail is $219.00 and pelican usually discounts the price. I think it will be offered by next week. I only made 100 units the first run so you guys will not be able to hord parts.

That is a really great looking lid!

I have always wondered why there isn't a way to get the intake air from a cooler spot than under the hood. Even some oversize ducting from the hood screen area or the whaletail louvers.

Nice!!! Now where did you get the Porsche sticker? That sticker is good for 5hp right? I would like to get one of these as soon as possible to replace that ugly stock box.

It is actually pretty darn cool, (temp), under the hood of a 911. Next time you stop to get gas, pop the hood and see for yourself. I can usually touch the fan shroud w/ bare hand and leave it there when the oil temp is fully warm.

The cyclonic vortex effect only shows its self when the mystical triangle is in use. The mystical triangle { not to be confused with the Bermuda trianle} consists of the air box cover, the cool collar and the ever dangereous but very useful cupholder. The three togather create an evionment in which the cyclonic vortex causes the air to compress therefor increasing the oxygen content to the motor with a resulting increase in horepower. If you live in the southern hemisphere the vortex revolves in a counter-clockwise direction actually decreasing the oxygen concentration so you have to put the air box cover on upside down to reverse this phenomenon.

What if you threw an eRam in there? Would that cause the earth to spin about its axis in the opposite directions reversing the effects you stated above?

Seriously though, nice work. I can't wait to see it on Pelican so I can buy one. All for looks, and if it adds any performance, it would just be a bonus for me.

Don't mind at all Brian, i am proud to have a part that is up to your caliber of detail.

The thing about mystical triangles is there are only 3 points. By adding an e-ram it now becomes a quadrangle and that negates all of the above described benifits and you are back to zero.

Those little spring things sticking up at the top of the a/b in Brians photo have now been changed.

Four small rubber o-rings attach to the hooks like rubber bands where the stock straps originally fastened. You can see the lower bands on the picture above.

Looks fantastic!
1) If you live in the southern hemisphere, you can also reverse the oxygen decrease effect by installing the cover with your left hand instead of your right or by standing on your head when you do the installation. Either way, be careful not to have any butterflies around when you do the installation.
2) I wish someone would come up with a better stock replacement for the 3.2 besides the fabspeed fake CF bling bling plastic job.

Jerry, interesting, but just a question; why not make the intake expand so as to include that furthest left and right "bubbles"?

Just curious.....
